Your tasks
  • Supporting the Editorial LfL (backlist) team with our projects on topics from the fields of art, architecture, design, film, photography, and pop culture.
  • Assisting in project management for multilingual book publications from budget and schedule preparation to printing.
  • Revision of titles for new editions.
  • Supporting the team with the coordination of reprints of our extensive backlist catalogue.
  • Clarification of image, text, and artist rights and procurement of image material.
  • Internal coordination with the graphics and production departments.
  • Close collaboration and communication with international authors, translators, freelancers, designers, museums, and picture agencies.

Your profile
  • Strong Interest in and knowledge in editorial tasks, as well as art, art history, photography, architecture, design, pop culture, travel, and fashion – the foundations of our publishing program.
  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated (MA) in Book Studies, Languages or Humanities
  • Confident with Microsoft Office, databases, Adobe Acrobat, and InDesign.
  • Organizational talent with an eye for detail and strong sense of precision.
  • Enjoy working with language and perfect knowledge of spelling and grammar.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken German and English, any other language is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Independent, structured and team-oriented way of working and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Open-mindedness and a passion for the range of our program.
